When everything in life seems difficult… it can be challenging to think of doing anything more, even if it is in your best interest. For this reason, we have created a series of videos for you to watch. These carefully scripted Christian Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CCBT) therapy modules have been created with a great deal of oversight. These modules are designed so that you can move through them at your own pace. When combined with your interactive Hope Journal, Hope’s community prayer room and our partner resources, you will have a comprehensive set of tools for self’ guided work.
Many studies have shown that self-directed CBT can be very effective.
A review of 33 studies found that self-help treatment led to significant reductions in anxiety; another review of 34 studies on depression found similar benefits of self-directed therapy, particularly when the treatments used CBT techniques.
One of the major goals of CCBT is for you to “become your own therapist” by learning skills that you can continue to practice after you have ended treatment.
These studies show that people who learn CCBT skills on their own can use these skills to keep feeling well.
When faith is integrated in with Christian Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CCBT) there can be a transformation spiritual change as well.
As believers, “we are encouraged to stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around us, but to be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how we think. This will empower us to discern God’s will as we live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes”.
(Romans 12:2 TPT)
We believe just as John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus Christ, Our CCBT program can prepare your mind to go deeper into the things of God. If you have not been baptized with the Holy Spirit, we want to encourage you to seek after him, and if you are, to be attentive to his voice.
“Your call will become clear as your mind is transformed by the reading of Scripture and the internal work of God’s Spirit. The Lord never hides His will from us. In time, as you obey the call first to follow, your destiny will unfold before you. The difficulty will lie in keeping other concerns from diverting your attention.”
