Welcome to HOPE. If anxiety and depression seem to be running your life. If symptoms like tiredness, irritability, and sadness seem to rise out of nowhere to wreak havoc in your relationships, work, or school life; HOPE is here to help.
Depression can take over a person’s identity. Imagine a person named Depression. Depression is doing their level best to meet the demands of everyone and everything around them. The problem is Tiredness, Anger, Sadness, and a host of other undesirables have decided to hop on Depression’s back and ride along with him. The weight of these undesirables can make the world feel like a lonely and hostile place.
You may be asking yourself, where does depression come from, what is it, and is it normal? How do I manage depression or how do I get rid of it? Well, the good news is that a certain amount of depression is normal from time to time. Depression comes with a lot of messages; even when they appear destructive and hostile. When we learn how to respond to these messengers, depression can become manageable and often avoided altogether. However, there can be times when situations or life events may overwhelm us to the point that we may need to ask for help.

This is where HOPE comes in. We want to help you to undo the destructive messages that seem to flow out of Depression. These emotional messages can disguise themselves as reality. Sorting out what is real and unreal, what is truth and what is untrue is how you begin to release these Undesirables from wreaking havoc in your life. The Bible says the truth will set us free. This is not just any truth. It is God’s Truth, and we are told to examine ourselves; to see whether we are in the faith. 2 Cor 13:5
If we start examining our lives to see if our thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs are aligned with the Bible, we are following in the footsteps of many noble men and women who have gone before us. The Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 We are also told that the Word became flesh and dwelled among us in the man Jesus Christ.

We can start with the Words of Jesus when we examine our own life. We are reminded that he was tempted in every way that we can be tempted; and that he overcame the word.

When you work through HOPE’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Spiritual Mentoring Program you will see that the Chief Cornerstone is God’s Truth and the Words and Life of Jesus Christ; for God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7
